Howdy!
If you thought I would just stop at redoing the residential lots of Strangetown, you were wrong! This was another case of me simply needing a nice change from the original look of this lot.

Again, I know that they were going for a "strange" looking lot due to the neighborhood, but frankly, I just didn't like parts of it from the beginning. There was a weird pseudo smoking spot in the top left of the original that I never liked. And nowadays, there aren't that many smokers around anymore. (At least in the part of the U.S. I'm from). I also never liked the odd building that had a tiny strip of pool that was lower in the ground. My guess was that it was supposed to look like some sort of abandoned factory?

Regardless, I tried my hand at giving this place a makeover and I'm fairly happy with it.

1. I widened the clothing store and made it an H&M because why not. Desert folks deserve fashion too! Also added a small pet store above.
2. There is a comic book store that sits right behind the H&M. It's pretty small and sort of bare but it worked for me since sims don't usally hang around there anyways. I usually have my own sims go in, buy what they want, and leave anyways.
3. The weird abandoned factory has now been remodeled to be a sort of recreation/club I suppose. Just added a bunch of fun things for sims to do. The second floor has a stage at the end with instruments ready for a band to play. Through playtesting, I've noticed that most sims will congregate on the first floor out of the entire lot. I don't really have a problem with that so I didn't go out of my way to add more things around to try and disperse them.
4. The grocery store was pretty much kept the same. The building was just slightly enlarged, flooring and counters switched out for different colors, and added more tables and chairs.

The only custom content I used for this lot was LordCrump's “New Hood and Road Default Replacements”. You do not need this for the lot to work, you will simply not see the road overlay in front of the lot, as well as the road and sidewalk tiles that I used for the parking lot.

I do use certain object mods that I added into the lot as well for convince of others that use them as well.
There is simbology's ACR adjuster modeled as a plant and TwoJeff's Sim Blender in the bookstore as well as TwoJeff's Visitor Controller and Pescado's FFS Lot Debugger in the grocery store. Once again, you do not need these do download the lot. If you do not have any of these and add this lot to your neighborhood, the objects should simply change into a normal plant or object.
