The beautiful and talented Ginger Rogers was born Virginia Katherine McMath in Missouri. She began her career on the stage by winning a Charleston contest. From there she took off in Vaudeville. She got her first big break on Broadway in the play Girl Crazy. Ms. Rogers was soon signed on at Paramount Pictures, where she made five films before moving to RKO Studios.

Her amazing career spanned 62 years, over which she starred in cinema, television, radio, and the stage. She acted in a total of 73 films and won an Academy Award in 1940 for the movie Kitty Foyle. Ginger, named for the tint of her blonde hair, is best remembered for the movies she co-starred in with her dancing partner, Fred Astaire, in the 1930s. Among the best known are Top Hat and Swing Time. These charming musicals feature light romance, comedy and innovative ballroom/tap dancing.

Ginger Rogers Sim, like her namesake, is a born dancer who delights in music. She is extremely popular with the in-crowd and finds planning and hosting parties the perfect hobby. She has modeled extensively and is closely acquainted with a slew of haute couture designers who have created impressive gowns for her to wear both in the movies she stars in, as well as the multitude of soirees she is constantly being invited to.

Being a star, however, has its drawbacks. The schedule is rigorous. The gentlemen in her life have come and gone all too quickly, leaving her yearning for a real romance, for someone that will not resent her popularity, but will instead be a safe harbor for her.

EA packs used: Get Together, Get to Work, Spa Day.
This Sim is completely base game compatible. It can be downloaded without having any of the packs. The Sim will, however, be wearing slightly different attire.
