After her successful collaboration with the HBG on Aileen Landing, the FARDT (Federal Alien Residential Development Team) approached Cat to begin this project:
They wanted to create an apartment complex that provides a self sufficient "communal" life style.
One in which everything necessary to lead a full and productive life is present on the property
- and there is no need for transportation off the premises.
After many months spent dithering with the development team officials over their non-existent plans to meet any medical needs that may arise in the community, and their lack of any consideration for children - no thought to schools or playgrounds... (quit rolling your eyes, Cat!) It is finally open for business!
Any interested beings are requested to apply for an internship with their local FARDT representative.
Rents range from $541 - $677
Please scroll through all the pictures above to get a better idea of all that this complex provides.
Besides living quarters for both single interns and non-childed couples... *sigh* (Shhhh, Cat! We know you think they're short-sighted!)
...There is a grocery store, restaurant, juice counter, tea/coffee counter, pool bar, lap pool, grill and picnic tables, plenty of games for social recreation, and lots of sunshine! All three buildings feature open, airy, Atrium-style roofs. The Blue Level is a top-notch research facility - they are studying sunflowers, coffee and apples. Perhaps in combining the three, they'll find the cure for... well, everything! LOL!
The research is funded by proceeds from the grocery store, restaurant, and pool bar - all located on the 'public' ground floor.
(NOTE: Unless you are an "imaginative" player - like me - you will need mods to make this lot function as I'm describing it. I'm not sure which mods you'll want, but I'll update if people make suggestions.)
Things you may want to know before playing this lot:
It has been play-tested. This is a clean copy of the lot - no sim has set foot on the property you download.
There are raised plant beds along the sides of the research area that are as-of-yet unplanted. You may want this:Vertical Gardens
Your sim may need stairs to reach the apple and coffee plants - or you may want Perfect Plants
The shelves in the grocery store need to be stocked - I will be using CC, and didn't want to include it all
The blue 'singles' apartment can't be "Looked At" but, it can be rented just fine. Don't forget this trick to rent a furnished apartment -
(copied from simswiki)
Before you rent the apartment:
CTRL-SHIFT-C to bring up the cheat box.
Enter the following cheat: boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true
Walk your sim to the front door of the apartment that you want to rent. They need to be standing right in front of the door.
Clear any actions from your sim's queue - including other sims trying to talk to them.
SHIFT-click on the door of the apartment you wish to rent and choose "Rent Furnished."
If the action falls out of your queue, your sim probably needs to be closer to the door.
Once the apartment is rented, bring up the cheat box again.
Enter: boolProp testingCheatsEnabled false to turn the cheat off again.

Install Instructions
Basic Download and Install Instructions:
1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.
3. Install: Double-click on the .sims2pack file to install its contents to your game. The files will automatically be installed to the proper location(s).
You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.
I mostly "build" - houses, apartments, recreational, and community lots - but, I also create walls (and murals), floors, terrain paint, and various other recolors. And I've written a few tutorials too. :luff:
