Over the years I've been playing them, my Sims have become real to me. There are few things I could imagine that would please me more, than if my doorbell rang, and when I opened the front door, I were to find Andrew and Julian standing there. Of course I'd greet them and invite them in. Then I could start planning with them the holiday (vacation) I'd like to take them on to Stratford-upon-Avon. Growing up and being educated in the town of Romeo and Juliet(te), I'm sure they could offer insights into Shakespeare, his life and his works, that I could hear from no-one else.

You say fun, I say wildly dangerous and unethical. You want to do evil, you start by treating people as if they were unreal.
Ugly is in the heart of the beholder.

Werewolf Sims with custom skins don't get the fur effect when transforming into werewolf-form. Kind of annoying and makes me wonder why it isn't just an overlay so it works with every skintone, not only EAxis.

I'm pretty sure that it was just a joke!

Because EAxis doesn't give a shit about custom skins.
Fortunately, CC creators do. https://modthesims.info/d/650651/cu...es-fur-fix.html

Well I only said imagine... One of my friends was quite convinced that everyone in his town were TV extras and he was the main character (he saw coincidence and meaning everywhere); I wrote a short story based on his ideas back in the 80s (way before the Truman Show) and thought it was a fascinating viewpoint, especially when one is people watching from a cafe, as we used to do a lot back then. It is always interesting to me to wonder if simulated beings would be aware that they were simulated, and how would we know if we were (are?) simulations, and what if I'm the only awareness, and these are all NPCs? Interesting thought experiments, but not necessary a philosophy for life!
I will choose a path that's clear- I will choose free will

Until they toggle the autonomy setting off.
Anyway, I found this:
https://modthesims.info/d/675483/mo...car-alarms.html
Works well! Though, I should point out the visit other sims patch is not enough to make it compatible with hatch's EP (or my version anyway) as it also:
- Alters strings in a way that will display the wrong return message, and overwrite some strings hatch used for other things. Causing issues.
- Adds its own version of "ownable is lot home?", which is unnecessary in the unofficial EP (it already has the check, you can just use it, as the EP one does a more thorough check to include specialist lots, such as hospitals, school, heaven, etc.)
Anyway, I merged it all into one package, altered the strings to suit the EP, edited the functions to reflect that (needed new IDs, as some of them used were already used by hatch for other things) and switched out home check to the built in one.
I also found this:
http://cyjon.net/node/182
No more smustle dance in the middle of nowhere, with no music.
Though again, had to drop the other two from the package as they were already fixed by hatch and had added intoxication stuff to them.
Anyway, it's all working in my game now.
PS: I think this post needs more face slaps.

It's kind of weird. On the one hand they made all sorts of things for CC creators, but later on they just forgot and didn't bother anymore.

Reason: Discovered it only works on 800x600 px resolution
Apparently there's a small gap in the UI between the influence meter and the left side of the UI which you can click and drag to adjust the influence line in the meter, but it only works on 800x600 resolution (I'm guessing). It doesn't change anything in gameplay, though. It actually moves back where it was after a while, which makes me wonder why the developers added such a random and useless feature.

It may not have been put there by design. Side effects occur, and if it's useless, at least it doesn't cause serious enough bugs to inconvenience anyone.

That creepy rabbit head toy can rotate by itself if a toddler tries to use it but can't access it. In my case I had accidentally made it completely unaccessible so it just slowly spun around in a circle.

It seems weird that it looks like it's been programmed to move the meter back to where it was after a while, it even smoothly glides back instead of immediately going back. It's not that serious to even be classified a bug, just a strange find.
Edit: Just realized that after fixing my resolution it seems that this can't occur anymore! Before I fixed it my resolution was 800x600. I guess this weirdly doesn't work with other resolutions?

I can go quite a few rotations without one, and then suddenly every other household is burglarized. The person Charity was responding to was responding to someone talking about a stolen TV. In a "normal" hood (one in which the rulesets and aesthetic I'm using don't restrict electronics) just about every household gets one. In game configurations set up for restricting electronics, I add the "Everyone Fights Burglars" mod. |

I discovered my sim who owns a clothing store has the option to suggest outfits to sims visiting the store by clicking the clothing rack, that I then choose and they change into if they end up buying. Here I've been fiddling with remembering who's bought something to get them new clothes via gussying up so that their purchases would mean something.
