Default Converting the sims steering committee meshes to the main game. (needing mesh format help)
[URL=https://archive.org/details/the-sims-steering-committee]The Sims Steering Committee[URL] was released on archive.org recently, along with some unused skins. In fact, they're downright unusable in the final game due to multiple changes during development. However, there are some parts, like the heads and head accessories (earrings, hats, glasses, facial hair, etc.), that can still be used in the final game, but they need to be converted to the proper file formats. The mesh files are all in .msh format, and I cannot, for the life of me, find anything that can open the files. I'm primarily trying to convert them to a file format that milkshape will accept. I think I may be in need of help of someone who knows coding or scripting.

Have you made any progress? Unfortunately, I have exactly the same problem and just can't manage to make the files compatible. The SimsKit has now also been released, but here too I am completely overwhelmed.

Where did you find the Sims Kit?

I've made some mods for The Sims 1 -- yes, The Sims ONE :-) -- which you can find at http://corylea.com/Sims1ModsByCorylea.html

I've found it on the Internet Archive, from the same user who uploaded The Steering Committee.

Sadly, no progress on my end. I've been told the format is similar to .bmf files, but not much beyond that.
