Default Adjusting scalp for age conversion?
Hello! I was wondering if anyone knows how to fix this problem.
Whenever I try to convert a hair with a shaved part to younger ages, the scalp looks wrong. I've attached a picture as an example that shows how my toddler conversion looks in comparison to the original adult version. How can I "adjust" the scalp to fit child and toddler heads correctly? Is it possible at all?
Thank you!

The scalp UV map (So far I know, since I don't do hair much.) on toddlers are very different compared to the adult. So, you want to check if it works with the UV map, I would suggest checking it in a 3D model program first (Milkshape works fine as well). Make sure you use a TS3 scalp reference to check if it works with the actual in-game scalp.

TS3 scalps (comes with the download): http://modthesims.info/t/411795
Using an UV map with Milkshape and how to check if your texture works with the toddler scalp: http://modthesims.info/t/135136
(Do NOT change the UV map of the scalp. You got to change the texture of the scalp instead! the beginning of this tutorial just explains how to get the UV map to show.)

Thank you for answering!
I took a look in Milkshape and saw that the texture doesn't fit in the toddler or child scalp UV map. I'm going to try editing the texture a little and see if that solves the problem.

I actually have a little question. The tutorial shows how to edit the UV map, but is there any specific method I should use to edit the texture? I'm really not sure where to start. This is how it looks in Milkshape.

Not sure how you export the UVmap in Milkshape, but I do know how to do it in Blender.

I explained it right here: http://blender.stackexchange.com/qu...ing-a-uv-layout
Make sure you import the scalp into blender to get the UV map to show up.

To switch to image editor, in the first very picture of the reply post, you see in the left, under corner a small icon that looks like a photograph. In the screen you'd see right now, it'll look like a box.

Else, you can import a reference UV map from here (they're in DDS): http://modthesims.info/t/411795

From there you can just easily edit the textures in photoshop! or Gimp! ^-^
